Velmer Joe Cameron son of Jason Winfield Cameron and Minnie Margaret (East) Cameron. Anna Charlotte (Richey) Cameron daughter of Rufus Gideon Richey and Mary Isabelle "Belle" (Hedrick) Richey. Anna Charlotte (Richey) Cameron a centenarian being 106 yrs old.
Anna Charlotte Richey Cameron, 106, of Lawrence Hall Nursing Center at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, formerly of Lynn, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cameron was born May 5, 1903, at Powhatan, Arkansas, the daughter or R.G. "Gid" and Belle Headrick Richey, the third of 14 children.
She was united in marriage to V.J. Cameron on Dec. 9, 1923, at Eaton.
Mrs. Cameron was a homemaker, farmer, member and faithful worker of Shiloh and Lynn Methodist Churches, and a 50-year member of the Eaton and Lynn Extension Homemakers' Club, having served as Lawrence County president. She, along with others, operated a canning kitchen and mattress factory during the early 1940s.
Survivors include one son, Alvis Joe (Audrey) Cameron; a daughter, Lillian Brannon; a granddaughter, Kerry (Steve) Huskey; a great-grandson, Gary Huskey; a great-grand-daughter, Paige (Josh) Eddy; one great-great-grand-son, Corbyn Huskey; and one sister, Mildred Nunnally.
She was preceded in death by her husband, V.J. Cameron, in 1970; two sons, Bruce and Lavern; eight brothers, William, Leslie, Otto, Cleo, Lester, Clarence "Red," Dorothy "Dot" and Warren; and four sisters, Selma Halstead, Cledia Ross, Dessie Mae Lawson and Clara Chappell.
Services were in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel at Walnut Ridge. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery between Black Rock and Smithville.

Pallbearers will be Larry Lawson, Clyde Brooks, Boyce Walling, Mike Cameron, Leon Neece and Donald Nunnally.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight in the funeral home.
