WILLIAM BRITT BURIED TODAY
Rogers, July 29 - Funeral services for William Lee Britt, a former business man of Rogers, was held today at the home on West Walnut street, conducted by Rev. Conner Morehead, pastor of Central Methodist church.
Mrs. C.E. Blandford, soloist, and Mrs. Oscar Juhre, member of the Central Methodist choir and its organist, Mrs. J.E. Henderson, were in charge of the music. Burial was in Oakley Chapel west of Rogers under the direction of the Bryant Funeral home.
Mr. Britt is a native of Benton county and a nephew of the late Dr. G.W. Droke, former professor of mathematics of the University of Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. B.W. Gambel and Mrs. Donald Reed of Rogers, and three brothers, Hugh and George of Rogers, and Napoleon of Pangburn, Ark.
For many years Mr. Britt was engaged with his brother, Hugh in the nursery business. Later he established a music store in Rogers, closing out the business 8 years ago when he was injured by a fall at his home. Since that time he repaired and manufactured musical instruments.
