Clabe C. Gailey, 73, of Hiwasse died Sunday in Gravette. He was born April 20, 1906 in Hiwasse and spent his entire life in that area. He was a member of the Hiwasse Christian Church.
Mr. Gailey is survived by his wife, Melvina Gailey of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip Fletcher of Hiwasse and Mrs. Carl Murray of Gravette; a brother, Herb Gailey of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Grace Erwin of Bentonville and Fannie Oguin of California; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hiwasse Christian Church with the Rev. Keith Sangwin officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Callison-McKinney Funeral Home of Bentonville.

HIWASSE — Melvena Gailey, 77, of Hiwasse died Nov. 24, 1995, at Gravette Manor Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 12, 1917, at Hiwasse to Elmer and Ida Todd Duncan. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hiwasse Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clabe C. Gailey, in 1980; an infant son, Kenneth Wayne Hopkins; six brothers; one sister.
Survivors include three brothers, Edgar Dale and Denver Duncan, both of Siloam Springs, and Chalmer Duncan of Keller, Texas; three sisters, Louise Francis of Gravette, Thelma Brown of Pryor, Okla., and Hazel Groves of San Leandro, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hiwasse Christian church with Keith Sangwin officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Gravette.
