ROBINSON, Lydia J. SMITH - Mrs. Lydia J. Robinson was born in Adair Co., Ken. March 11, 1871. She moved with her father, Samuel J. Smith, to McDonald Co., Mo. in 1876. In 1892 her father came to Bentonville to make his home. She was married to F.E. Robinson March 15, 1893 and to them were born three girls. She professed religion at the age of 17 years and united with the Methodist church at Pineville, Mo. After their marriage she and her husband united with the Methodist church at Oakley Chapel in 1902. She is survived by her husband and three girls, Velma, Vaud and Ruby; her father of Joplin, Mo. and seven sisters: Mrs. John Jeffries and Mrs. Bert Hale of Lanagan, Mo.; Mrs. E.P. Jeffries and James Rickman of Pineville, Mo.; Mrs. Chas. Lanneaux, Amwoca, Idaho; Mrs. Chas. Dickson of Bentonville and Mrs. Julia Harpe, Joplin, Mo. Sister Robinson was sick for a week or more. Her suffering was intense but she bore it patiently and without complaint. Our church and Sunday school at Oakley Chapel has lost a good and faithful member, the community a good neighbor and friend and the home a faithful, loving tender companion and mother. The funeral was conducted by the writer in her church Saturday at 3 p.m. in the midst of a large concourse of friends and neighbors and her body was laid away in the Oakley Chapel cemetery to await the resurrection morning. Her Pastor, E.N. Weaver.
