STATER, Mary SINKS - Mrs. Mary Stater, aged 76, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.W. Nelson, Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock, June 9th, 1925, following a stroke of paralysis which occurred a week ago. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. S.B. Clark, pastor of the First Christian Church of Rogers. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Budie Schader of Rogers and Mrs. T.W. Nelson of Bentonville and one son, O.W. Stater of Oklahoma, who were with their mother when she died. Mary Stater {nee Sinks} was born in Fairfield, Iowa in 1849. She spent her youth here and married S.O. Stater in November 1869. The Staters lived a few years in Fairfield and then moved to Kansas City, Mo. where they made their home for 12 years. They also lived in parts of South Missouri and came to Rogers, Ark. from Kansas City about seven years ago. Mr. Stater died two years, two months, two days and two hours before his wife. Burial was made in the Oakley Chapel cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Stater who died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nelson near Bentonville, took place this morning at the home with interment in Oakley's Chapel, Rev. T.B. Moore conducting the services. Mrs. Stater was the mother of Curry Stater who runs a garage on West Walnut Street.
