Mr. William "Bill" Powell, age 88, of Wynne, passed away February 20, 2008 at CrossRidge Community Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Allen Powell and Arbie Clift Powell; stepmother, Addie Bell Ponder Powell; son, Donald Powell; sisters, Geneva Powell Blake, Jimmy Smith; and brother, John Powell.
Mr. Powell lived most of his life in Wynne, Arkansas. He was a retired painter and a member of Wynne First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are his sons, Jimmy Powell of California; Norman Powell of Arizona; and David Powell of Norfolk, Virginia; daughter, Barbara Cooper of Marion, Illinois; sister, Juanita Stillwell of Lancaster, California; 10 grandchildren; nephews, Howard E. Blake, Sr., of Wynne, Stephen A. Blake of Wynne, Stanley J. Blake of Premont, TX; nieces, Ann McKee of Judsonia, Rhonda Fryman of Cherry Valley and many special great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Laughridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Kernodle Funeral Home.
