Funeral services are scheduled at 2PM today in the Old Galatia Churchhouse for Mrs. Wilma Gertrude Wood, aged 66, of Norfork. Mrs. Wood died Monday night in a Kansas City, MO hospital.
Rev. Gearld Martin will officiate.
Interment will be in the Galatia Cemetery, with Roller Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wood, a lifelong resident of this area, was born on May 23, 1893. Her parents were the late Willam and Sarah Arnold Payne. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Jim Greer, Bob Lucy, Chalres Parnell, Harlin Baker, Winfred Benbrook and Gene Alexander.
Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Henry Wood of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bowers and Mrs. Fannie Mathis of Kansas city, MO, Mrs. Nettie Taylor and Mrs. Joyce Redington of Guam; four sons, Leslie Wood of Ridgedale, MO, Howard and Noel Wood of Norfork and Frank Parnell of Kansas City; 30 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Another daughter, Mrs. Marie burleson died on Janurary 3.
