Died Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Robert Lee Payne, aged 72, of Norfork died in a local hospital Thursday. Funeral services were held Sunday at 4PM in the Norfork Methodist Church with Rev. Lillian Nelson officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery with Roller Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Payne, a retired member of the Merchant Marine, was born at Taylorsville, NC on September 19, 1888. He had lived in this area for the past six years and was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Alexander Payne of NC and several nieces and nephews.
