Daughter of Joe and Zelpha Loosey Lane.
Married Frankie Merl Parnell at Mountain Home, Arkansas. The inscription on the tombstone gives a marriage date of April 30, 1951 while the obituary for Frankie Merl Parnell indicates they were married in 1952, and genealogical information furnished by family members gives a marriage date of April 29, 1950.

Mayme L. Parnell, 68, of Jordan died Sunday. She was born Dec 30, 1932, at Norfork and was a lifetime area native and a homemaker.
Mrs. Parnell is survived by four sons, Bobby (Carrie), Ronnie, (Dawn), Randy and Ricky Parnell; three daughters, Hettie (Frank), Tilley, Janice (Louis) Harris, Tammy Harrington (Bob Straws); two brothers, Carl and Mickel Dickerson; five sisters, Edna Greer, Cleota Johnson, Reitha Teegarden, Valma Stacy and Kathy Dickerson; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Lane; and mother and step father, Zelpha Loosey Dickerson and George Dickerson; husband Merl Parnell; one daughter; three brothers; two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9AM -9PM Thursday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be 2PM Friday at the old Galatia Church. Interment will be at Galatia Cemetery.
