Near this site was constructed the first Church School Masonic Lodge Building in the area, then known as Greasy Valley.
In this two story log building, A .J. Wheeler Lodge No. 367 F. & A.M. was chartered on January 10, 1879, after meeting for one year as Greasy Valley Lodge (Under Dispensation).
