Services for Jesse B. Hunt, Sr. of Mt. Home will be at 2PM Friday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Dark officiating. Mr. Hunt, 57, died Tuesday at his residence.
Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery with military honors by the North Arkansas Veteran Council. Howard Baker, Gene Shaw, Junior Staley, Quinby Smith, Jimmy Horton, and Grayson Calloway will be pallbearers. B.M. Huddleston, Russell Willett, Lawrence Willett, Jr., Francis Willett and Sherill Evans will be honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife Jacqueline of the home; his mother Elizabeth Daniels Hunt of Martinez, CA; one son Jesse B. Hunt, Jr. of Mt. Home; two step sons, Jay Black of Mt. Home and Roger Black of Burns Flat, OK; one daughter, Denise Hays of Fairfield, CA; one step daughter, Breda Cortts Brown of Martinez; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hunt was born at Mt. Home Jan 17, 1925. He served with the US Coast Guard in World War II. He married Jacqueline Arnold Feb 3, 1967, at Martinez. A self emploed carpenter and builder, Mr. Hunt returned to Mt. Home from Martinez in 1972. He was a member of the John Birch Society and the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his father Rober B. Hunt, one brother and one step son.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospitial, Memphis, TN.
