Willie Ernestine Arnold Black Dwelle
Born March 4, 1903, Iuka, Izard County, Arkansas.
Died December 23, 1999, Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.
Daughter of James Alexander Arnold and Lucinda Catherine "Lucy" Griffin Arnold.

Willie Arnold Black Dwelle of Calico Rock, daughter of the late Alec and Lucy Griffin Arnold, was born Mary 4, 1903, in Iuka. She died December 29, 1999, at Calico Rock. She was 96.
Mrs. Dwelle lived her childhood in Iuka, Calico Rock and Norfork, attended school in Baxter and Izard Counties and Little Rock. She taught school in Rural Baxter and Izard Counties.
She married Johnnie Howard Black in 1920. To this marriage four daughters were born, Billie Lee Black, Hilda Black Oldham, Sallie Black Malone, and Ruth Black Mayfield. In 1930, she married Edward Charles Dwelle and bore two daughters, Hazel Dwelle May, and Anna Dwelle Kemp. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Sallie Malone of Old Joe, Anna Kemp and husband George, of Old Joe, and Hazel May and husband, Troyce, of Calico Rock; two sisters Mertie Harris of Batesville and Bonnie Weaver of Marshall; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters, three daughters, Billie Lee Black, Hilda Oldham and Ruth Mayfield, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services were held December 26, 1999, at Old Galatia Church with Reverend Gale Wooten and Reverend Donnie Speak officiating. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Hugh Oldham, John Oldham, Jessie Kemp, Eddie Kemp, Douglas Malone, Merle May, and Johnnie Mayfield.
Interment was at Galaltia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Calico Rock.
