Mrs. Ruby Arnold Berry, wife of William George Berry of Old Joe, died at a hospital in Little Rock Tuesday afternoon. She had been under treatment in the hospital for several days. She was 29 years of age.
The remains arrived here from Little Rock Wednesday afternoon, and the funeral was held at Galatia Wednesday afternoon, the Rev L.C. Craig, pastor of the Methodist Church of this place, officiated.
Ruby Jacquelin Arnold Berry was born to Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Arnold at Iuka, AR, December 31, 1909, being the eighth child of the family. She was married to W.G. Berry in 1926. Five children were born to the union, four of which survive--Howard, Katherine Rose, Bernice and Greta. Deceased is also survived by her husband; mother, Mrs. Lucy C. Berg, of Old Joe; four sisters, Mrs. J.D. King of Norfork, Mrs. Ed Dwelle of Old Joe, Mrs. Wm. Whitaker of California and Mrs. Mertie Dunkin of Little Rock.
