Mrs. Fay Ruth Colville Dougherty, 54, Abilene, Tex., was killed instantly Feb. 2 when she was struck head on by a pickup truck within two blocks of her home. Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Rogers, she was the daughter of James Nance and Effie Mae Hatch Colville, a member of the Baptist Church and served with the Women's Army Corps during World War II.
Survivors include her husband Alvin Dougherty, of the home; three sons, Staff Sgt. Charles Albert Colville, Dyess AFB, Abilene, Tex., Urie Niles Keppler and Vance Wayne Keppler, Abilene; one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Mae Belote; Sebring, Fla.; two brothers, Charles S. Collville, Springdale, and James Harold Collville, Gravette; one sister, Mrs. Cora Evelyn Baker, Lowell; nine grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Burns Funeral Home, Rogers, with the Rev. DeWayne Mott officiating. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Burns.
