Ethel L. Turner was married to James "Jack" Ray Linn on December 3, 1938 in Yellville, Marion Co., Arkansas. I do not know who her parents were, but I believe that Ethel was born in Yellville (not sure).
Ethel and Jack had two children - a son and a daughter. Tragically, their only son, James, was killed by a drunk driver on his prom night 3 May 1956. James was only 16 years old and it was the first time he had been allowed to go to an event by himself. James drove himself and his date to the prom. They parked and as they were walking across the street to the prom, they were both hit and killed by a drunk driver. Both died on impact.
Ethel was a wonderful woman and it's sad that she had a difficult life because she certainly did not deserve it.
