Verdna Mae Linker, 85, of Alexander went to be with her Lord Tuesday, October 12, 2004. She was a member of Village Creek Baptist Church and retired from Arkansas Human Development Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Linker; her parents, Virgil and Doris Mills; three sisters, Betty, Ila and Nell and one brother, Afton. Survivors are one son, Albert Linker; one daughter, Dot Jones and her husband, Wayne, of Paron; one grandson, Joe Linker; one granddaughter, Shellie Watson; four sisters, Mary Lou Reed, Margie Chaloner, Jean Walderns and Sarah Olive. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.
The funeral service will be at 12:30 P.M., Thursday, October 14, 2004 at the Roller-Drummond Southwest Chapel with Reverend Zane Clark and Reverend Gary Gipson officiating. Burial will be in the Needs Creek Cemetery in Faulkner County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home (501-455-5800).
