Funeral services were held at 2PM Sunday at the Brunt Schoolhouse for Dewitt Rasor, 65, of Lone Rock, who died Friday evening in a local hospital.
Rev. Robert B. Howerton officiated.
Mr. Rasor, who was born June 2, 1892, at Advance, was a member of the Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War I.
He was the son of the late Albert Rasor and Mrs. Virginia Wright Rasor, and was a member of one Baxter County's oldest families.
He was married to Miss Verna Hamrick and they were the parents of a son, Russell Rasor of Advance. Mr. Rasor was engaged in farming.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Verna Rasor of the home; his son, Russell Rasor of Advance; two sisters, Miss Mary Rasor of Gassville and Mrs. Mae Woodrum of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ed Pinkston, Carson Moss, T.B. Robertson, Nemo Norman, Bob Webb and Ira Hicks.
Interment was in the Brunt SchoolHouse Cemetery. Roller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
