Mrs. Ethel Criner McGaughy, aged 85, of San Fransisco, California, former Ouachita County resident and widow of James C. McGaughy died in San Francisco Tuesday night. Mrs. McGaughy is survived by one son, Oren McGaughy of San Francisco, whom she had lived with for a number of years, and a brother, John Criner of California. She and her husband were former residents of Buena Vista. She was a member of the Church of Christ. The body will arrive in Camden late Friday. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Proctor Funeral Chapel conducted by D. C. DuBois of the Madison Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Buena Vista cemetery. Casket bearers are Ronald Packard, Bill Smead, Milton Warren, Ben Bracken, R. E. Gee, and Herbert Garner. (Camden News - February 28, 1964)
