Mrs. Janice Joan Merrill, 35, of Mt. Home died Wednesday of last week at her home on State Highway 5 South. She was the wife of Richard L. (Dick) Merrill and a member of the Buffalo City Minnonite Church.
Born here Sep 27, 1941, Mrs. Merrill was the daughter of Henry B. Ivens and Pearl White Evens. A lifetime resident of Baxter County, she and Mr. Merrill were married Dec 15, 1968, at Buffalo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Carol L. Merrill, at home; her parents, of Mt. Home; three brothers, Harold and Hershel Ivens of Mt. Home and Harlan Ivens of Cotter; a sister Jewell Nesbitt of Mt. Home and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Sunday at the Lone Rock Baptist Church, south of White River, with Rev Troy Melton of Flippin officiating. Interment was in the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery under the direction of the Roller Funeral Hoome.
Pallbearers were James Wilbur, Virgil Wilbur, Steve Smith, Kenneth White, Homer Lee Queen, Jr and Gary Lee.
