B, 12th Arkansas Cavalry, at Monticello, January 1, 1864; detailed to extra duty in the quartermaster’s department since January 1, 1864; present, detailed, February 29, 1864; captured at Longview, Arkansas, March 29, 1864; confined at U.S. Military Prison, Rock Island, Illinois, where he enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 6, 1864; born in Tennessee, c1834; listed in Drew county 1860 census; occupation mechanic.
