Theodore Roosevelt Hurst, son of the late Bob and Maggie Horn Hurst, was born at Advance AR, on Sep 30, 1901. Departed this life at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem on Oct 31, 1968, at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 1 day.
He was united in marriage to Maude E. Covington in Baxter County on June 5, 1952 and to this union four children were born. He was united in marriage to Ruby Shrable at Batesville, on April 12, 1956 and to this union one child was born.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his companion of the home at Gepp, two sons, Junior Hurst of Cave Springs, and Raymond R. Hurst of Independence, MO. three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Pruitt of Susanville, California, Mrs. Ruthene Reynolds of Mosey Rock, WA and Miss Beverly Ann Hurst of the home at Gepp. One brother, Ralph Hurst, address unknown, one great grandchild, a host of other relatives and many, many friends.
Mr. Hurst had been a member of the Baptist Church some thirty years. He had made his home near Gepp for the last eight years.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 3rd, at 1:00PM at the Center Point Baptist Church with Rev. Cal Davis of Elizabeth officiating. Interment was in the Burnt School House Cemetery in Baxter County, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Salem.
Casketbearers were Joe Campbell, Clovis Hurst, Buck Renfro, Lee McDaniel, Glen Pemberton and Glen Cotter.
