Clarence - December 6, 1892 - April 20, 1947
Clarence White, 54, lifelong resident of Ouachita County, passed away at the Camden Hospital Sunday after a lingering illness. Mr. White was the eldest son of the late Jessie D. and Laura White, and is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Hattie Laura Lewis of El Dorado, and four sons, J.D., Chester, Marvin and Fred Olen, all of Camden, a sister, Mrs. Kate Byars of Strong; and two brothers, Harry of Odessa, Tex., and Curtis of Camden. Funeral was held Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Buena Vista Methodist church with burial in Buena Vista cemetery. Pallbearers were H. B. Hodnett, R. E. Cassedy, H. T. Reynolds, R. J. Frizzell, Lloyd Merritt and Hugh Campbell. The Rev. G. W. Warren of Chidester conducted the service. Proctors were in charge. (Camden News - April 21, 1947)
