Obituary
Vistiation for Wilson Ray Chapman of Norfork will be from 5-8PM Wednesday at Kirby Funeral Home. Mr. Chapman died Monday (Dec 19, 1988) at Mt. Home. He was 74.
Services will be held at 1PM Thursday at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charles Howard officiating. Burial will be in Burnt School House Cemetery at Lone Rock.
He is survived by his wife of the home; four sons, Carroll Chapman, Gerald Chapman, David Chapman and Steve Chapman, all of Mt. Home; two daughters, Jewell Hutson of Mt. Home and Fern Hol? of Knightdale, NC; one brother, John Chapman of Mt. Home; four sisters, Tina Freeman of Stayton, OR, Vivian Chapman, Mary Hurst and Dorothy Bench, all of Norfork; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
A native of Norfork Mr. Chapman was born Feb 14, 1914, at Lone Rock to the late Ossaro and Frances Sander Chapman. He was a retired maintenance man for the Mt. Home School Distirct. He and the former Helen Hurst were married July 29, 1939, at Lone Rock. He was a member of the Chruch of Christ.
