PEA RIDGE — Rachel Ellen Looney, 91, of Pea Ridge died Feb. 22, 2004, at her home. She was born Sept. 15, 1912, in the Miller community in Bella Vista to Thomas and Amanda Gallentine Short. She lived in the Miller community for 58 years, before moving to Pea Ridge in 1990. She enjoyed cooking and was a member of the Pea Ridge Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Looney, on April 20, 2001; one son, Alvin Looney, on Jan. 20, 1950; one grandson, Micah Looney, on Aug. 7, 1988; one great-grandson, Michael Green. Her caregivers were Helen and Reed Brooks.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Looney of Bentonville and David Looney of Tulsa, Okla; one daughter, Imogene Ann Green of Gold Beach, Ore.; one sister, Florence Short of the Miller community; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Bentonville Church of Christ with Walter Buchanan
and Malcolm Scott officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
