Mrs. Sophie Etta Guyll Johnson, 83, of Garfield died in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born April 10, 1889, at Garfield, she was the daughter of the late William Newton and Martha Pace Guyll, and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include six sons, Wesley, Jess, Milton, Carl and Andrew, all of Garfield, and Otis of Pea Ridge; three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Smith and Mrs. Ethel Ratliff of Garfield and Mrs. Gertrude Stout of Elkins; 32 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Walnut Hill Church near Garfield, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery under direction of Burns Funeral Home of Rogers.
