Edwin Reed died Sunday, April 5, 2009, in Mt. Home, at the age of 93. He was born Wednesday, November 24, 1915, in Spalding, Nebraska, the son of Edwin Otis, Sr and Linnie Berry Reed. He married Annes A. Thompson, October 19, 1981, at Ava, Missouri and worked as a custodian for Pappillion, Nebraska School and the Harrison High School. Edwin Reed was a US Army veteran of WWII. Edwin lived in the area since 1967, moving from Pappillion, Nebraska and was a life member of the Ozark VFW Post #3246.

SUVIVORS; Edwin Reed is survived his daughter Karen Vardaman of Texas; one grandson; one brother, Robert Reed; one sister, Helen Bryan of Springtown, Texas; and his adopted families, Jerry and Allene Parnell and Twana, Mike and Jeremay Devors all of Norfork, AR.

PRECEDED IN DEATH; He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Annes Reed, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.

VISITAITON; Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM. Tuesday, April 7, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

FUNERAL; Graveside services for Edwin Otis Reed of Norfork, AR, will be 2:00PM Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Galatia Cemetery, with Reverend Larry Thomas officiating.

BURIAL; Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery, Norfork, Arkansas with military honors by Ozark VFW Post #3246 Honor Guard.

MEMORIAL; Memorials may be made to the Galatia Assembly of God Church.
