BILL, Nancy CHASE - Died, March 17th, 1906 at the home of Mrs. Norval Johnson near Bentonville, Mrs. Nancy Bill. Mrs. Bill, whose maiden name was Chase, was born at Penn Yan, N.Y. June 1st, 1834 and was married to Maj. George Bill April 4th, 1850. She was the mother of eight living children, two sons and six daughters. Only Mrs. T.K. Bowman, Mrs. Bert Carroll and Mrs. N.A. Johnson were with their mother at the time of her death. Mrs. Bill was in poor health for several years but with the kind care of her children and her pleasant disposition, she was contented to the last. When told she had but a short time to live she said: "Oh, I'm so glad. Do not grieve for me, but rejoice. I'm going home to die no more!" Rev. Gray preached a short and appropriate sermon last Sunday and she was laid by loving hands beside her husband.
