James E. Grimes, 67, of Avoca, died Tuesday at his home. He was born April 5, 1914, at Avoca. He was a Baptist and was retired from Rogers Vinegar Co.
He is survived by his wife, Viola K. Grimes, of the home; two sons, Jim Grimes and Tony Grimes, both of Avoca; three daughters, Barbara Newman, Houston, Linda Crawford, Bentonville, Pamela Meeker, Avoca; two brothers, Paul Grimes, and Bob Grimes, Jacket, Mo.; two sisters, Mabel Ritchey, Rogers, Bessie Andrews, Colcord, Okla.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. tonight at Callison-Lough Funeral Home.
