Funeral services for Arthur C. Knight, 74, of Summit will be at 2PM Sunday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Troy Melton officiating. Mr. Knight did Monday (Dec 30) at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Fayetteville.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery with Gene Bradley, Daniel Harris, Gravin Carroll, Arnold Knight, Jerry Hopper and Quinby Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Robert L. Duncan, Earl Woods and Herschel Woods.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Harris of Mt. Home, Pat Breeding of Forrest City and Shirley Mershon of Gassville; a sister, Lura King of Mt. Home; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Lou Ann Knight and by a son.
Mr. Knight, a retired mechanic and welder, was a native of Buford and a lifetime area resident. He was born July 27, 1911. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Baxter County Historical Society. He was protestant and a US Arm veteran of World War II.
