The Newton Flat Cemetery is located in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Prior to the building of the Bull Shoals Dam, the community was known as Newton Flat, and the local cemetery was named Newton Flat Cemetery. Both the community and the cemetery were named for the Newton family which had settled there in the 1860's. As the building of the dam progressed, the community turned into a small town and was named Bull Shoals; however, the cemetery retained the Newton Flat name.
