BELKNAP, Jules - Dr. Jules Belknap, one of the best known physicians of Benton county, died at his home at Sulphur Springs Monday morning following a few days of illness from pneumonia. A week before the News Herald editor called Dr. Belknap to see his son, Wyric Lewis, and at that time the doctor said he had cared for 70 cases of flu in his own town. Two days later he developed the disease. Few people realize that many of our doctors make the supreme sacrifice in caring for their patients. Dr. Belknap had been at Sulphur Springs many years. He took pleasure in collecting curios and his office is a miniature museum. He leaves a wife and four children.
