Wm. Henry Barton, son of A.Y. Barton, died March 2 1922 at the Wichita Kan. hospital to which he had gone some ten days before for treatment. He was born in Benton county Dec. 24, 1874 and was aged 47 years, 2 months and six days. Henry was born and reared on the farm where his father now lives, was well known to all, having spent the most of his life here. He was converted at old Georgia church at the age of fifteen and joined Honey Creek Baptist church. He leaves two brothers, Calvin of this community and George of Winona, Idaho; also two sisters, Mrs. W.R. Hollis of Alton, Mo. and Mrs. J.C. Barnett of this vicinity. his mother, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death. His father, A.Y. Barton, and brother, Calvin, went to Wichita and accompanied the body home and the funeral was conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. I.M. Phillips, pastor of Gravette Baptist church, and burial was in Georgia cemetery. The family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
