December 27, 1901 - September 12, 1976
Mrs. Georgia Sockwell, 74, formerly of Chidester, died Sunday in a hospital in Detroit, Mich. The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Good Hope AME Church in Chidester. The Rev. W. M. Jameson will officiate. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Service of Camden. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ida Belle Ramey and Mrs. Josie Phene Williams of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, L.A. McNeely of Rockford, Ill. and Ollie J. Box of Detroit, Mich. and nine grandchildren. (Camden News - September 17, 1976)
