Wann (NW of Gravette) Cemetery
Benton County,

July 18, 1896 - March 24, 1917
Daughter of Mr & Mrs Harrison Miller

*Information provided by a relative:

Dear Judy, Harrison Miller was my grandpa, and his daughters were Cora and Nettie, who should be buried in the same area. Thank you so much for the photo-it means the world to me to see they are being taken care of. I never knew any of them, since I was born in 1937. I was born and raised in California-which is still my home. Mama said Grandpa was one of the sweetest and most kind men, and always a gentleman of the old school. They owned 60 acres of farmland in Southwest City, Mo. and Honey Creek ran through the property. My dad, Clarence lived there for awhile, but he and my mom came to California in 1936 to be near relatives. According to family history, the girls were buried on a hilltop on the property and it was deeded to the city in perpetuity when he died-so, it must have been adjacent to the Wann cemetery. Aunt Nettie died of TB, and Aunt Cora died in childbirth-her little son did not survive. Aunt Cora was a beloved schoolteacher. Aunt Nettie was a telephone operator. They were beautiful young women from photos.

Dear Judy, Thank you so very much for the photo of my Aunt Nettie's headstone. It shows me that she, my Aunt Cora, and my Grandpa Harrison Miller's graves are all being taken care of. My Grandpa deeded the property to the city of Southwest City, Mo. in perpetuity so they would be taken of. He buried the girls on his property on a hill near Honey Creek-which ran through his property. My Aunt Nettie died of tuberculosis, and while it appears to have faded, the headstone once read, "She was the sunshine of our home." Her obituary states she was kind and loved by all who knew her. From photos, she was a beautiful young woman and my Uncle Phil said she had a "peaches and cream," complexion. She and her sister, Cora, died within a year of each other-Aunt Cora in childbirth. Thank you so much for the photo-it looks like a beautiful and serene resting place.
