George William Armstrong, 45, a chemical company executive, died Thursday at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born Aug. 23, 1923 at Lawrenceville, Ill., the son of William H. and May Smith Armstrong.
Armstrong received all of his education in Fayetteville public schools and the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He graduated in 1944 with a degree in chemical engineering.
Armstrong was employed for 15 years by Thiokol Chemical Corporation of Trenton, N.J., until Jan. 1 or this year. He was a Methodist.
Survivors are the widow, Jean, at the home; his mother, Mrs. Mae Armstrong of Fayetteville; one daughter, Carolyn of Dallas, Texas; one son, John L. of Texas City, Texas, and one brother, Capt. John E. Armstrong of Nuremberg, Germany.
Funeral arrangements by Moore's Chapel are incomplete.
