HEBER SPRINGS — Ruby Nell Smith Stogsdill, 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.

She was born Dec. 29, 1923, at Marked Tree to the late Daisy Belle Hedrick Smith and Walter William Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, James Albert Stogsdill.

She leaves behind many good friends and family. Surviving family members include her three sons, James Albert (Alyson) Stogsdill Jr. of Soldotna, Alaska, Michael Wayne (Peggy) Stogsdill of Blanchard, Okla., and David Alan (Clo) Stogsdill of St. Albans, Vt.; one daughter, Carol Ann (Steve) Stogsdill-Stroud of Pasadena, Calif.; six grandchildren, Michelle Gentry of Oak Point, Texas, Michael Wayne Stogsdill II of Moore, Okla., Pamela Robeson of Blanchard, David Alan Stogsdill Sr. of Pangburn, Jeffrey Stogsdill of Heber Springs and Holley Stogsdill of Anchorage, Alaska; 16 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, William Smith of Missouri, Ed Smith of Conway, Wayne Smith of Heber Springs and Cecil Smith of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Ruby Nell would want her children to give a special shout-out to her brother Wayne, who, along with his wife Helen, faithfully visited her, attended to her and showered her with love throughout her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Russell Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers include Michael Stogsdill II, David Stogsdill Jr., Jeff Stogsdill, Alex Webb, Robb Gentry or Todd Robeson.
