Mrs. J. Will Henley passed away last Monday. She had been sick for some time. She leaves a family, a host of relatives and many friends to mourn her death.
This grave for Kate Duncan Henley is indeed different from the others in the Fairview Cemetery. It has a large concrete curb or wall extending almost the width of two graves with a small marker mounted in the concrete. The grave area is totally covered in a mass of honeysuckle vines which seems especially strange since for years the cemetery association has made it a habit of cleaning off anything that obstructs mowing. For some reason this grave never had its
plantings removed, and it is the only one that has anything other than an occasional peony plant growing on it. The inscription on the gravestone is as follows:
Gone to heaven

beloved wife
of
J. Will Henley
died
July 3 1906
