Husband of Lorna Agnes Burrow; son of Joe Ed and Flora Hackworth

Cecil “Capn’ Hack” Hackworth, 80, of Ravenden, died Nov. 2, 2008, at Randolph County Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 3, 1928, at Imboden, he was the son of Ed and Flora Hackworth. He was a decorated veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Ravenden First Baptist Church. He was the retired owner of Ham Tug & Fleeting Service, Inc., in Lemont, Ill., and Capn’ Hack’s Hunt Club in Ravenden.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Hackworth; and a daughter, Janice Ruth Hackworth. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lorna Hackworth; a daughter, Cindy Pinkus and husband Jim, Imboden; a son, Wendell Hackworth and wife Lori, Plainfi eld, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Thursday at 2 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas with Pat Hovis and Jerry Clements officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Imboden.
