FRED LAWRENCE
Fred Newton Lawrence, 70, Colcord, Okla., died Aug. 23 in Siloam Springs Hospital. He was a retired automobile mechanic.
Lawrence was born Feb. 23, 1907, in Green Forest. He was an area resident for seven years after moving here from California. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Alfrey Lawrence of the home; one son, Dale, Tustin, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Nola Mae Haynes, of California; one sister, Mrs. Nerva Norris, Vista, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Colcord. Burial will be in Dickson cemetery by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
