February 1, 1907 - September 14, 1922
Magnolia, Sept. 23 - Devell Edwards, aged 15, died at his home here Thursday after an illness of about seven hours. Burial was in the city cemetery Friday, Rev. J. H. Coleman conducting the funeral services. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Edwards; four sisters, Mrs. Lynch Gradney, Mrs. Tom Fomby, Mrs. T. J. Alphin and Miss Hazel Edwards; two brothers, Hoytt and Ulmer. (Arkansas Democrat - September 23, 1922)
