Marvin Taylor Woodson, 70

POCAHONTAS -- Marvin Taylor Woodson, 70, of Pocahontas, formerly of Imboden, died Friday, Nov. 22, in St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Black Rock, he served as mayor of Imboden for eight years and was involved with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Little League. Was vice president of Meridian Corp. and was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Imboden.

He was a veteran of the Army having served in the Korean War.

Survivors include a son, Gary Woodson of Tahlequah, Okla.; two daughters, Carla McKinney and Robbie Eagan, both of Pocahontas; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church at Imboden, with Harold Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Forest Cemetery under the direction of the Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

Pallbearers will be Bill Perrin, Larry McLeod, Ray Robertson, Bill Lewis, Lavon Young and Charles Bratcher.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Hoxie.
