July 13, 1843 - March 22, 1922
Magnolia, March 24 - "Uncle" Peter Crawford died at the home of his son W. F. Crawford, who lives in this city, Wednesday morning, after a long illness, due to old age. He was a pioneer of Columbia county. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J. W. Miller of Bonham, Tex., Mrs. J. J. Crawford of Gilmer, Tex.; Mrs. S. S. Kendricks of Waldo, and Mrs. A. B. Simms of Waldo; and two sons, R. H. Crawford of McNeil and W. F. Crawford of this city. His remains were buried Thursday morning in the city cemetery under the direction of the Masonic lodge. Rev. R. M. Holland conducted the funeral services. (Arkansas Gazette - March 24, 1922)
