John Marion Kelley passed away in a Siloam Springs hospital February 6 at the age of 79. Funeral service was held at Cherokee last Friday and burial was in Dixon cemetery.
Mr. Kelley was born in Atlanta, Ga. in 1862. In 1885 he married Lizzie Cherry who survives him. One child died in 1911 and six others survive: Ed Kelley, Will Kelley and Jim Kelley of Cherokee, Mrs. Grace Hurt of Colcord and Mrs. Mae Phagan and Mrs. Dot Rodgers of Gravette; also 12 grandchildren and 6 half brothers and sisters.
