WALNUT RIDGE - Rudy G. Crider, 54, of Walnut Ridge died Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born at Walnut Ridge, he was a farmer and a retired factory worker. He lived in the Walnut Ridge area most of his life, having also lived near Egypt and the Little Brown community in his early life. He was a member of the Coffman Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Blackshear Crider of the home; two daughters, LaDonna Carey of Black Rock and Michelle Palmer of Pocahontas; one son, Marcus Crider of Walnut Ridge; his mother, Irene Crider of Portia; two brothers, Mike Crider of Searcy and Tony Crider of Smithville; one sister, Loretta Brewer of Portia; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Almus Crider, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at House-Gregg Funeral Home chapel in Walnut Ridge with Paul Bean officiating. Burial will be in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be his nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will include Eddie Johnson, Wayne Swartzland, Dale Swartzlander and Rick Swartzlander.
