Charlene Clara Clark
March 8, 1933 - June 5, 2014
Charlene Clara Brandon Creed Clark, born March 8th 1933, went home to her maker June 5th 2014 at the age of 81.
Mrs. Clark was a member of the United Methodist Church of Black Rock. She was also a member of the Lions Club and the UMW.
She was proceeded in death by her father and mother, Aubrey Kenneth and Lucille Lavanna (Pickney) Brandon. Her first husband, Johnnie Creed; her second husband, Charles William Clark; six brothers, Freddie Edward, Kenneth Hiram, Thomas Gene, Alvin Edward George, Joe Dean, Richard "Dickey" Allen Brandon; three sisters, Allie May Lewis, Emma Sue Horne, Barbara Ann Srda.
Mrs. Clark was survived by one brother, Aubrey Kenneth Brandon Jr. and wife Deeanne; two sisters, Agnes Marie Smith and husband, Jerry, and Audrey Lavanna Meeks; one brother-in-law, Junior Horne; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Brandon; one son, John David and wife, Alice; one daughter, Jeanette Clara Balcer; 8 grandkids, and several great grandkids, great-great grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her loss will also be mourned by numerous members of the Black Rock community.
Services are as follows: Tuesday, June 10, 2014 family visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am, public visitation from 10:00 am to noon, and funeral service to follow at noon. Services will be at the multi-purpose building at the Black Rock School with interment at Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock. A luncheon will be provided by members of the community at the school cafeteria after graveside services.
