Mrs. Mary Sanders, 80, widow of H, A, Sanders and resident of Cullendale died at the home of a daughter Mrs. J. A. Chambliss in Bearden at 8:40 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Sanders was born in Calhoun County, Arkansas November 26, 1873. She was a member of the North Madison Street Church of Christ in Camden. Survivors include seven sons; Lonnie, Roy, and Louis Sanders of Cullendale; Curvis and Allen Sanders of Hampton; Clyde of Hope, and Hercel of Hamburg; four daughters, Mrs. J. A. Chambliss of Bearden, Mrs. L. O. Lindsey of Cullendale, Mrs. Allen Oliver of Hampton, and Mrs. Ed Caldwell of Warren. Four children are deceased. Also surviving are five brothers, William and John Wages of Bearden, Tommy Wages of Sparknman, Irving Wages of Oklahoma, and Monroe Wages of Hobbs, New Mexico; four sisters, Mrs. Nancy Ellis of Thornton, Mrs. Betty Hopkins of Bearden, Mrs. Cindy Johnson of Tahoka, Texas, and Mrs. Florence Cobb of O'Donnell, Texas; by 38 grandchildren, and 50 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the New Hope church near Hampton by Earl Richardson of Shreveport, La. Burial will be in Newhope cemetery by Proctor Funeral. Grandsons of Mrs. Sanders will serve as casket bearers. The body is at the home of Lonnie Sanders in Heckerville where it will remain until funeral time. (Camden News - October 30, 1954)
