Charles was a son of William Charles and Dovie Cordelia Drennan Hobbs.
He was first married to Betty Jo Tice and then to Shirley Marie Stine.
His children were Druetta and Connie and Joanna Hobbs Bowen (buried in Forest Hills Memorial Park).
