Burgess N. Sperry, 82, of Nofork died Friday (April 2, 1996) at the Gassville Nursing Center. Formerly of Marion County, he moved to Baxter County in 1993. He was a retired meat cutter.
Mr. Sperry was a Methodist and belonged to the Masonic Lodge of Forsyth, MO, and the Hayworth Chapter of the Eastern Star in Forsyth.
Born Feb 18, 1914, at Springfield, MO, he was the son of Lee Noel and Monta McManus Sperry. He and the former Ellinor Carroll were married March 19, 1941, at Topeka, KS.
Survivors include his wife; six son, Gerald L. Sperry of Lee's Summit, MO, Garry N. Sperry of Gamaliel, Michael G. Sperry of Gassville, Patrick D. Sperry of Mt. Home, Burgess W. Sperry of Grandview, MO and Jeffery J. Sperry of Grandview; Four daughters, Carol M. Katzenmaier of Norfork, Toni E. Sperry of Theodosia, MO, Jennifer J. Sperry of Grandview and Stephanie L. Sperry of Norfork; 37 grandchildren; and 44 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at Roller Funeral Home with the family greeting friends fro 6-8PM.
Services will be at 1PM Wednesday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Forrest Bynum officiating. Burial will be in the Norfork Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Sperry, Michael G. Sperry, Patrick D. Sperry, Robert H. Sperry, Burgess W. Sperry and John H. Katzenmaier.
