Services for Mildred M. Simpson of Norfork were held Sunday, Feb, 8, at Norfork Public Schools gymnasium with the Rev. Don Rhalser and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Mrs. Simpson, 58, died Feb 6, at Calico Rock Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Edward A. Simpson, Jr. of Cabot and Donnie Allen Simpson of Conyer, GA; her parents, Donnie H. and Ersie Majors Moser of Calico Rock; one sister Nadine Sublett of Kansas City, MO; one grandson, James Donnie Edward Simpson of Conyer, GA; and one niece and one nephew.
A school teacher, Mrs. Simpson taught at Norfork schools for 25 years. She had been a resident of Baxter County for 33 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Arkansas Education Association and the Arkansas Teachers Association. She and Edward Simpson were married Dec 31, 1953, at Norfork.
Burial was at Norfork Cemetery with Donald Harvey, Virgel Smith, Doug Simpson, Harold Parnell, Daren Greer, Bill Rogers, Rayburn Adams, Jerry Gray and Wade Harst serving as pallbearers.
