Rudolf Menan Martin, 57, a lifetime resident of Baxter County, died March 27, at his home in Norfork.
Funeral services were held at 2PM Friday at the Norfork Methodist Church with Rev. Johnson Evans officiating. Interment was in the Norfork Cemetery under the direction of the Roller-McClure Funeral service.
Mr. Martin, a merchant, farmer and schoolteacher, was born at Lone Rock on July 21, 1905, the son of the late Robert I. Martin and Minnie Lee Hutcheson Martin. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lela Martin of Norfork; a son, Robert L. Martin of Denver, CO; three daughters, Mrs Hazel Alexander of Mt. Home, Mrs. Ruby Jackson of Jonesboro and Mrs. Betty Wood of Mars Hill, NC; a sister Mrs. Ruby Owens of Mt. Home and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ray Byrd, E.E. Parnell, Keith Lamb, Russell Rasor, Ed Henderson and Charley Torrance. Honorary pallbearers were W.W. Langston, Willie Parnell, Rudolph Conley, Carl Sheid, Robert Wilbur and James Baker.
